We are searching for an Insurance Marketing Underwriter to join our charismatic team!Job Description: Our insurance marketing team is responsible for supporting the sales team as the primary resource for negotiating carrier coverages and terms, preparing proposals, and finalizing the placement/binding process for commercial clients.Your day to day would entail:
Understanding existing needs of clients and provide viable solutions based on products offered by SIA Group.
Assisting clients with their queries, initiate renewal process based on their requirements, and obtain renewal quotes from existing carriers.
Provide continual feedback about the clientele experience and their expectations to the sales and leadership teams based on existing market trends.
Provide consultative service for commercial business clients by building and maintaining relationships with existing client base and prospective clients.
Preparing proposals for prospective clients in collaboration with the sales team and send policy binders upon confirmation of a sale.
Maintaining current awareness, knowledge, and understanding of market trends and appetites, pricing practices, contacts, and other underwriting policies to help present SIA Group’s solutions to clientele.
Proactively setting priorities and managing workflow to ensure efficient, timely, and accurate work.
What you need to bring to the table:
Hold a North Carolina P&C license and have a minimum of two years insurance service experience or comparable work experience and education.
Demonstrate strong knowledge of insurance products and usages, rating procedures, underwriting procedures, coverages, and industry operations to effectively manage, maintain, and write assigned clients and prospects.
Demonstrate strong customer focus and an excellent phone manner; display strong written and verbal communication skills as well as excellent math and reading skills to perform calculations.
Possess a sense of urgency, attention to detail, organization, multi- tasking, and follow up skills and the ability to handle difficult situations with customers and solve complex problems without direct supervision.
Have excellent time management skills with a personal accountability mindset as well as technology and computer proficiency, including agency management systems, rating tools, and carrier website navigation.
