GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:
Hummingbird Cannabis Co. is seeking a Head of Cultivation with comprehensive experience in all
areas of plant cultivation, greenhouse/grow operations, and existing knowledge of the harvest,
curing, trimming, packaging and regulatory environment of cannabis. The Head of Cultivation ensure
that all processes, training requirements, schedules, policies, and procedures are documented and
followed and that production goals are met, as well as approve batches of harvested cannabis for
processing, packaging, labeling, and sale after receiving passing test results. This person will support
for the oversight of documentation, ordering, and receiving of all inventory and products, arranging
deliveries, maintaining facility compliance and cleanliness; and acting as an apprentice to running the
cultivation facility, supporting the cultivation staff and growing HCC’s overall productivity,
operational excellence and yield.
The Head of Cultivation at Hummingbird Cannabis Co. (HCC) is a transformational leader with the

while simultaneously executing on that strategy. While experience running a cannabis grow isn’t a
prerequisite for this position; a strong understanding of the cultivation process through similar grow
operations (i.e., greenhouse or nursery experience) is essential, as well as a strong understanding of
the cannabis plant and the regulatory environment of cannabis.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
PERSONNEL LEADERSHIP
Support leadership/optimization full employee lifecycle from recruitment and onboarding through training, development, growth, performance management and termination.
Oversee scheduling, management and development of cultivation staff, procedures, inventory practices and vendor relations.
Partner in setting expectations for performance excellence and regularly role model best practices when interacting with staff.
Respond to employee concerns as they arise, engaging the team in collaborative problem solving, continued process optimization and innovation.
Act as a communicational conduit between the Director of Cultivation, HCC employees, retail outlets and Skinny Pineapple Corporate offices.
CULTIVATION OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT
Support the direction/oversight all cultivation tasks and processes, ensuring proper documentation of all applicable activities in accordance with both internal and external (State/City/Local) regulations.
Assist in planning, coordinating and oversight of product development by ensuring the proper tasks are executed and the environmental conditions support the cultivation of superior product quality.
Oversee supply stock, orders, and deliveries to ensure efficient levels of all cultivation inputs and supplies.
Support delivery of optimal plant quality by overseeing the creation and application of plant nutrients in a manner that supports quality output.
Ensure plant health by overseeing the pruning, toping, trimming, analyzing plant health according to HCC policy, as well as any other tasks required.
Assist in maintaining rotation of strains through garden to ensure variety and quantity for all locations.
Support Director in managing environmental programs, such as air or water compliance, aboveground or underground storage tanks, spill prevention or control, hazardous waste or materials management, solid waste recycling, customer waste management, indoor air quality, integrated pest management, employee training, and disaster preparedness.
Perform other duties as assigned, according to the needs of the business.

REQUIREMENTS
OSHA certified in Safety Training preferred.
5-7 years of personnel leadership experience, with a track record of developing highly effective
teams.
5-7 years of running a large-scale cultivation/manufacturing division.
Must be 21 years of age or greater to be considered.
Communicate with regulatory agencies (police, fire department, DORA, etc.) to ensure facilities
compliance.
Assist in the development and reporting on Key Performance Indicators for the HCC Grow
facility including output volume, quality, waste, staffing levels and budget, etc.
Maintain accurate records of all cultivation activities including employee records, inventory
records, crop application records, materials receipt, returns, etc. in accordance with company
policy and regulatory (State/City/Local) guidelines.
Must have or be able to obtain a Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED) badge.
Expertise in METRC system, Seed-to-sale tracking systems and regulatory framework.

Expertise in all Microsoft Office applications; with the ability to create reports in Excel and
presentations in Power Point.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Role may require prolonged periods of sitting, standing or walking around
for up 10 hours per day. Ability to lift, push, pull or carry up to 100lbs. Occasional need to stretch,
twist, bend, reach and/or stoop required. Manual dexterity required and the ability to perform
repetitive motions within the course of a shift. Consistent interactions with team members, business
partners, auditors, business leaders and government officials require the ability to clearly and
concisely communicate both verbally and in written form. Cultivation environment may be both loud
and/or hot thus the ability to remain focused and productive in this environment is required. This
role has a regular demand to operate a computer and other office equipment. This job is based in a
cannabis production facility and potential exposure to allergens due to work with raw cannabis and
chemicals.
