Job Title: Business Development Manager - SLED & Government Accounts (Individual Contributor Role)
Location: Dallas/Austin/Houston, TX (30% Travel)

The Opportunity:
As an individual contributor BDM, you'll own the full sales cycle for SLED accounts while supporting our Sales VP in managing strategic federal/state government relationships. This is a hunter-farmer role where you'll both develop new business and nurture existing client partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
• Drive revenue growth across state/local governments and education (SLED) sectors
• Manage and expand relationships with existing government clients nationwide
• Support Sales VP in strategic Gov/state account management
• Develop winning proposals for RFPs/RFIs/RFQs across multiple contract vehicles
• Maintain 4-5x pipeline coverage of quarterly targets
• Represent BuzzClan at government tech conferences and industry events
• Collaborate with solutions teams to architect client-specific offerings
Qualifications
Must-Have Qualifications:
• 5+ years selling IT services to government (SLED)
• Proven track record managing $5M+ government accounts
• Deep understanding of government procurement cycles and contracting
• Experience with GWACs, IDIQs, and state cooperative contracts
• Ability to work independently as an individual contributor
• Willingness to travel as needed (up to 30%)
Preferred Experience But Not Mandatory:
• Existing relationships with government IT buyers
• Knowledge of Texas DIR, NASPO, and other cooperative contracts
• Background in IT staffing, cloud, or data solutions
• Familiarity with government security requirements (FedRAMP, CJIS)
