    Job Description

    The Slot Floor Person is responsible for providing superior service to both the internal and external customer. They are also responsible for contributing to the entertaining atmosphere at Belterra Casino Resort by greeting and interacting with guests in a friendly manner and providing information regarding Belterra Casino Resort facilities.

    The Slot Floor Person:

    • Provides superior customer service, positively effects interactions with external and internal customers and employees and has the resiliency to deal with difficult customers in all types of business conditions and the ability to work harmoniously with coworkers.
    • Pays and verifies jackpots on slot machines according to established procedures.
    • Proactively promotes the loyalty card program; understands current card benefits and information and presents program to customers.
    • Communicates all customer service issues to key personnel.
    • Accurately maintains money flow during shift with customers and employees.
    • Accurately performs customer transactions.
    • Assists in training new personnel and customer trainees as needed.
    • Monitors work areas to ensure cleanliness standards are achieved and customer requests are addressed and resolved.

    Qualifications

    • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and all levels of employees.
    • Ability to distinguish between different denominations of currency and make change.
    • Ability to review and comprehend all necessary documentation and print and write legibly.
    • Ability to effectively and efficiently move around work area.
    • Ability to reach, carry and deliver change to customers and to maintain bank.
    • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
    • This position spends majority of shift on the casino floor and is subject to varying levels of crowds, noise and smoke, the severity of which depends upon customer volume.
    • Must be flexible to work varying shifts and time schedules as needed.
    • Ability to work in a drug free environment and pass a chemical dependency test as required.
    • Machines and equipment used, but not limited to, include computers, keys, hand cart, hand unit (Section 12), radio, adding machine, and keyboard.
    • Superior customer service, communication, and employee interaction skills.
    • Basic math skills required.
    • Money-handling and change-making skills required.
    • Must be able to obtain and maintain all appropriate licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Gaming regulations.
    • Must be at least 21 years of age.

    These skills and abilities are typically acquired through two months of on-the-job training in a similar field or through related experience.
