JOB DESCRIPTION QUALIFICATIONS:
Boeing Space & Launch Division is seeking a highly motivated ENTRY LEVEL SYSTEMS ENGINEER to support the Space Launch System (SLS) program (primary program supported). Boeing, in conjunction with NASA, is developing the nation's capability in manned access to space, including destinations beyond Earth’s orbit. This position will sit at KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, FL.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify basic lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions.
Evaluates customer/operational needs to define system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces.
Performs analyses to optimize total system and/or system architecture for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, and certification, to ensure mission success.
Supports the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes.
Support NASA as the Boeing representative during technical approval boards
Coordinate technical questions from Kennedy Space Center personnel with Boeing Design center SMEs
THIS POSITION IS EXPECTED TO BE 100% ONSITE. THE SELECTED CANDIDATE WILL BE REQUIRED TO WORK ONSITE AT ONE OF THE LISTED LOCATION OPTIONS .

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
Experience working on NASA programs and human space programs
Experience with spacecraft and/or space systems architecture
Experience with nonconformance processing
Ability to work shipside with manufacturing support and manufacturing build team
Knowledge and familiarity with computer-aided (CAD) design software (e.g. SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, etc.)
TYPICAL EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor).
In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
RELOCATION:
