    Job Description

Founded in 2018, SM Innovations is a premier digital consulting firm in Santa Monica. We specialize in Salesforce consulting, software development and design, and AWS Cloud migrations. Our team consists of management consultants, world class engineers, and highly talented designers, who set out to do what we love most – build amazing software for enterprises and startups. Our mission is to bring our clients’ visions into reality by guiding them along the optimal path to get there.

We're currently looking for a Business Analyst to focus on our Salesforce implementation projects. You'll mostly be working with one of our custom digital clients in requirements analysis, documenting processes, and performing some user acceptance testing. We're looking for someone with an analytical way of thinking and be able to explain difficult concepts to non-technical users.

We're ideally looking for someone based in Southern California with at least 4 years of experience in a similar role -- although this can be remote for the right candidate. We'd like you to have Salesforce, consulting, and financial services experience, as many of our clients are in the financial services industry.

    HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL TYPICALLY DO:

    • Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions

    • Help oversee Salesforce implementations

    • Meet with clients to gather business requirements while establishing rapport

    • Assessing risks, opportunities, deliverables, and threats for projects

    • Monitoring deliverables and ensuring timely completion of projects

    • Developing goals, tasks, and plans of development

    • Work closely with the Chief Strategist, Salesforce engineers, and other project managers

    • Leading ongoing reviews of business processes and developing optimization strategies.

    • Staying updated on the latest process and IT advancements to automate and modernize systems. Tech changes quickly and we like to stay on top of things! We know that Salesforce regularly comes out with updates.

    • Conducting meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings, and taking notes when others are giving presentations.

    • Performing requirements analysis.

    • Documenting and communicating the results of your efforts.

    • Effectively communicating your insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management, in ways technical and non-technical staff can understand.

    • Gathering critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and producing useful reports.

    • Allocating resources and maintaining cost efficiency.

    • Ensuring solutions meet business needs and requirements.

    • Performing user acceptance testing.

    • Managing projects, developing project plans, and monitoring performance.

    • Updating, implementing, and maintaining procedures.

    • Serving as a liaison between stakeholders and users.

    • Managing competing resources and priorities.

IT'S REALLY IMPORTANT THAT YOU'LL BE ABLE TO:

Build very strong relationships with your clients.

    • The more rapport you’ve built with the client, the easier it'll be to overcome any difficulties. We meet with our clients often on video and sometimes in person, so we really want someone who’s not afraid to socialize with a wide variety of businesses and humans.

Be open to jumping in and handling anything else the company needs outside of typical job duties

    • It's not unusual for many of us to wear multiple hats. In your position, this could involve helping out with sales such as reviewing client pitch decks, interviewing some new candidates, or any other atypical job duties.
