Inside Sales/Business Development Job Description
SMA is a rapidly growing software company in North Houston that is seeking Business Development Specialists to fill this high-profile position on its Sales Team. This role will uncover, identify and qualify new opportunities for SMA and will work closely with management, marketing and the entire sales organization. This role will also be instrumental in penetrating new verticals for the company.
The ideal candidate will have prior success in identifying, uncovering and qualifying opportunities in software or technology to Director/VP/C-level executives in a competitive marketplace. They will also excel in leveraging social media, networking, and referrals in identifying opportunities. The candidate chosen to fill this roll will present themselves professionally in all ways and at all times, be accountable and a consistent self-starter. The successful candidate will be a high achiever, work with minimal supervision and collaborate well with the rest of the team. Experience in software as a service is helpful, but not required.

Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is required
MBA preferred is preferred
Experience: 5 -10 years of experience in business development and/or sales
