    SMA Technologies is a privately held automation software company headquartered in North Houston. We have great products, services and people who need the leadership of a Vice President of Sales to join our growing team.

    Position objective: Day to day and strategic leadership of sales. Drives the sales process, develops new business, creates strategic partnerships, and manages sales teams.

    Key responsibilities:

    Leads and manages sales teams

    o Develops strategies and plans to develop business and achieve the company’s sales goals

    o Manage the sales teams’ people, operations and resources to deliver profitable growth

    o Ensure technical assistance meets / exceeds customer needs and expectations

    o Works closely with the Marketing Team to establish successful programs

    o Manage key customer relationships and participates in closing strategic opportunities

    o Travel for trade shows, conferences, and in person meetings with customer and partners to develop key relationships both domestically and internationally

    o Attracts, develops and retains the best talent

    o Adept at working with prospects, clients and employees effectively in a professional and respectful manner

    Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures including ISO 27001:2013 Certification program

    Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications:

    Education

    Required: Bachelor’s degree

    Preferred: MBA

    Experience

    Required: Successful 5-8 years in sales and sales leadership / management

    Preferred: Successful 10 years in sales and sales leadership / management

    Travel requirements: 50% - 60%
