Summary: Energy management and lighting controls system integrator located in the Hartford CT area is seeking a full-time staff accountant to perform general accounting functions including A/P & A/R review, preparation of monthly general ledger entries and account reconciliations, maintenance of accounting files/documents and balance sheet support schedules.

Position: Staff Accountant (Estimated Salary $70,000 - $80,000 per year)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Ø Review and verify the accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications assigned to various transactions

Ø Review of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processing

Ø Preparation of monthly bank/credit card reconciliations

Ø Intercompany account reconciliations

Ø Assist with Monthly Financial Statements Reporting Package preparation

Ø Perform expense account analysis

Ø Provide assistance and support to CFO

Ø Special projects or additional duties as assigned.

Experience & Credentials:

Ø 3+ years of accounting experience

Ø Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting

Ø Intermediate/Advanced knowledge of QuickBooks Online strongly preferred

Ø Strong Excel skills

Ø Ability to communicate well in both oral and written forms, work in a fast-paced, growing dynamic environment

Ø Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Ø Prior construction or project accounting experience is a plus, but not required
