    SUMMARY

    The Manager, Student Enrollment Services is responsible for academic records, ensuring compliance with faculty adopted policies, Family Education Rights to Privacy Act (FERPA), and applicable state and federal regulations and requirements. With direction from Senior Director, Student Services, oversee the planning, maintenance, and enhancement of the academic information structure[LD1] for the law school. Oversee and coordinate instructional space assignments, curriculum management, and administration of examinations to all students.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    Develop and implement equitable and consistent administration of policies and procedures for student records.

    Assist with all customer service, front desk duties.

    Responsible for documenting and maintaining master curriculum offerings of the law school.

    Develop and maintain the academic calendar and semester schedules.

    Assist in the development of policies and practices for enrollment services management; plan, organize, implement, and manage an effective registration process and related activities.

    Manage operations related to compilation, recording, verification, dissemination of data related to course scheduling, exams and attendance policies, student enrollment, curriculum, and academic progress for the law school.

    Analyze statistical data on registration for administrative use.

    Certify completion of graduation requirements and eligibility for bar examinations; manage the posting of degrees. Work with outside vendor on creation and mailing of diplomas for graduates.

    Oversee the examination process; create examination schedules, direct and supervise exam preparation and distribution to faculty, special exam arrangements, and proctoring; and oversee examination retention and destruction, in accordance with established policies, regulations, and guidelines.

    Maintain a high degree of confidentiality concerning all student information.

    Comply with all aspects of the law school’s Customer Service Standards.

    QUALIFICATIONS

Service oriented with the ability to make all visitors feel welcome. Must be computer literate with proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) with ability to learn new programs as necessary. Must be detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced multi-tasking environment.

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

    Bachelor’s degree preferred from an accredited university. Five years of relevant experience in enrollment services/registrar’s office is required. Strong understanding of policies, procedures, and federal and state regulations, including those that affect student privacy and FERPA. Preferred knowledge of Banner and Examsoft.

    LANGUAGE SKILLS

    Proficient in both spoken and written English. Ability to interpret and explain complex data. Ability to effectively and professionally communicate in one-on-one and small group situations to students, alumni, clients, and other employees of the organization.

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

    Ability to perform basic to intermediate math is essential. Must possess the ability to analyze numerical data and detect patterns, errors and trends.

    REASONING ABILITY

    Ability to define routine problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions to solve routine problems and/or deal with a variety of variables in situations, especially when department head may be out of office or unavailable. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision in order to accurately input data and proofread; distance vision in order to recognize and assist visitors to the department.

    Extremely fast paced, multi-tasking, non-smoking work environment. Must be able to work the general business schedule of the law school (9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.) plus occasional evenings and weekends as necessary.
