Responsibilities: • Assisting the HR/Safety Director in the planning, directing, managing, coordinating and supervising the programs for acquisition, assignment, utilization, maintenance, repair, replacement and disposal of fleet vehicles. • Scheduling regular maintenance on all vehicles to minimize vehicle downtime • Monitoring drivers to ensure adherence to schedules and proper driving practices • Assist in the registration and licensing of all vehicles under their management • Maintain detailed records of vehicle servicing and inspections • Ensuring all fleet drivers have proper licensing and up-to-date training • Preparing and providing reports to management on budgeting, schedules, maintenance, and fleet progress • Purchasing/renting vehicles as needed to expand/enhance fleet • Directs, monitors and approves the purchasing of parts/tools for vehicle and trailer • Maintaining safety and supply inventory • Record keeping of monthly safety video and training program Qualifications: • Experience with fleet • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Understanding of basic vehicle mechanics, including the ability to identify when major repairs are needed • Exceptional organizational skills, time management and multitasking abilities • Attention to detail • Familiarity with transportation scheduling and management software • Proficient in basic computer software and can quickly learn to use new programs Compensation: $17 DOE
