    NURSE PRACTITIONER - SKILLED NURSING FACILITY (PART TIME, COMPETITIVE PAY, FLEXIBLE HOURS)

    Solomon Medical, Inc. is seeking a part time nurse practitioner to assist the Medical Director at a Monterey, CA-based skilled nursing facility. The clinician will provide intermittent coverage for post-acute rehab patients and long-term residents.

    This is a physician-led organization that has an unwavering commitment to excellent patient care. The team is led by a well-respected physician and sub-specialists.

    We pay very competitively – Salary and Per Diem options are available. Additional bonus structure and call fee provided.  You will be required to be on location approximately 20 hours per month with optional telephone coverage for supplemental pay.  There is great flexibility with this position – you make your own schedule.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Order and study diagnostic tests 
    • Evaluate and present diagnoses of common conditions
    • Recommend and order referrals to appropriate sub-specialists
    • Propose treatments for chronic and infectious diseases
    • Prescribe medications 
    • Maintain accurate records and schedules
    • Inform patients about their health conditions and prescribed medications

    SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:

    • Experience as a Nurse Practitioner in primary care or sub-specialty outpatient clinics, hospitals, or skilled nursing facilities 
    • Certificate of completion from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
    • Valid Nurse Practitioner license
    • Current CA DEA certificate
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Strong ethics
    • Team spirit with a positive attitude
    • Patience and cool-headedness
