We are seeking a Shopify Developer experienced in e-commerce platforms and Shopify APIs. As a Shopify Custom App Developer, you will be responsible for creating, customizing, and maintaining applications that enhance the functionality and user experience of the Shopify-based systems connected to our GLASS Marketplaces.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain custom Shopify apps to meet government client requirements, enhance store functionalities, and improve the customer shopping experience
Stay up-to-date with the latest Shopify development trends, technologies, and best practices to ensure the highest quality of work
Work closely with government clients to gather project requirements, provide technical expertise, and offer solutions that align with their agency goals
Integrate custom apps seamlessly with Shopify stores, ensuring compatibility with existing themes and plugins
Conduct rigorous testing and debugging to ensure the reliability and performance of custom apps
Create and maintain clear and organized technical documentation for custom app development, code, and processes
Qualifications
Proven experience in Shopify app development, including knowledge of Shopify's Liquid, JavaScript, and other relevant technologies
Strong understanding of web development, front-end, and back-end technologies
Proficiency in using Shopify APIs and webhooks
Experienced in deploying and maintaining applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Solid understanding of Git and GitHub for version control, working seamlessly alongside other developers
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Effective communication and collaboration skills
Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions
Skilled in Scrum or Agile development methodologies
Entrepreneurial spirit and a creative mindset
Knowledge of e-commerce industry and online retail best practices is a plus
