    Job Description

    What you will be doing:

    Reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: ****

    • Oversee the Opaline and Banquet team in all aspects of the department and ensure service standards are followed
    • Maximize revenues by upselling and following budget guidelines
    • Handle guest concerns, reacting quickly and professionally
    • Balance operational and Colleague needs
    • Assist with scheduling, payroll, inventory and purchasing
    • Provide training and coaching of team members
    • Ensure Colleagues have full knowledge of all menu items, garnishes, contents, preparation methods as well as Sofitel standards
    • Ensure proper cash handling procedures are followed and Accounting standards are adhered to.
    • Ensure a safe and healthy work environment for both ambassadors and guests.
    • Oversee day to day operation of F&B areas in collaboration with other managers.
    • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
    • Other duties as assigned

    Physical Aspects of the Position (include but not limited to):

    • Constant standing and walking throughout shift
    • Frequent lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs
    • Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
    • Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs, ramps
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Your experience and skills include:

    • Previous Food and Beverage leadership experience required
    • Valid Food Handlers Certification required or the ability to obtain certification within 15 days once hired
    • Valid ABRA license or ability to obtain license within 15 days once hired
    • Previous Point of Sale system experience required
    • Computer literate in Microsoft Windows applications required
    • Hands on leadership style with the ability to prioritize and lead through example
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Excellent interpersonal skills, with great communication ability
    • Must be available to work afternoon/evening shifts and weekends in a fast paced environment
