    POSITION OVERVIEW

    The PROCUREMENT DEPARTMENT MANAGER is responsible for the design and implementation of procurement policies and procedures of client portfolio – ensuring the proactive planning, execution, and tracking of hardware and software procurements on a daily basis. In communion with the business team, this individual collaborates with key external stakeholders, namely hardware and eDiscovery application vendors, to develop sourcing strategies and to drive improvements to lower the total costs. It is paramount that the Procurement Manager maintains exceptional sourcing strategies and superior vendor relationships.

    He or she works closely with other departments to capture and validate requirements and prepare procurement packages for submission. Track procurement progress to ensure they meet established delivery schedules.

    The Procurement Manager will report directly to the Vice President of Finance and Vice President of Strategy. This individual will work closely with the Founder and CEO to timely execute upon client opportunities on a global scale.

    RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE…

    • Identify and implement solutions to drive incremental cost reductions and cost-avoidance opportunities for assigned category through category knowledge that researches and understands leading industry trends at country, regional or global level
    • Interact with and supports multiple businesses, internal and external Stakeholders, functions and Suppliers/Vendors
    • Effectively influence and align strategies and expectations and manages individual priorities given a set of performance objectives
    • Manage Suppliers including supplier development and performance management. Lead complex contract negotiations - balancing of risk and rewards
    • Provide guidance to internal business clients on Procurement capabilities and processes. Conduct contract analysis and works to ensure team cost savings (reduction, and avoidance) goals are achieved or exceeded and ensures business control compliance
    • Analyze data and strategic opportunity leading to the identification of potential Business Partner optimization gaps. Suggests and implements improvements/changes
    • Optimize Procurement processes to ensure Business Partners are able to make successful business decisions
    • Work with Business Units and Legal Counsel in negotiating pricing and terms and conditions related to sourcing agreements
    • Support development and implementation of procurement strategies and standardize policies based on best practices
    • End-to-end Management of overall life cycle of hardware and software IT assets to include tactical and strategic decision making
    • Maintain a Records Management Program to create and maintain accurate records of all supporting documentation specific to each procurement including award, delivery, receipt report, and invoices. Support audits of records as required
    • Work as part of a team and use effective communication in daily interactions with internal and external clients
    • Assist with the formulation of price strategy and price-to-win in conjunction with prime contract and project leads, review prime solicitation packages, and draft subcontract solicitation packages

    REQUIREMENTS

    • 3+ years procurement lead or management experience leading a team of 2 or more in a medium to large organization
    • Finance and accounting best practice knowledge and project management fundamentals; including developing and executing standard processes across a global organization
    • Proven ability in managing high-level complex supplier contracts and partnerships
    • Experience in Project Management, Contract Management, and Process Improvement
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
    • Ability to quickly grasp technical concepts and translate technical verbiage into easily understandable language for customers
    • Knowledge and experience in cross-functional sales management methods and techniques
    • Strong organizational, presentation, and customer service skills
    • Ability to work independently on complex issues that may require in depth analysis of data and business processes

    • Ability to operate independently with a high degree of energy, enthusiasm and flexibility
    • Experience constructing legal documentation and review
    • 3+ years’ experience in the eDiscovery industry relating to procurement, sales, technical pre-sales, consulting or project management experience – preferably with solutions dealing with building eDiscovery specific environments
    • A successful track record of contract negotiation
    • Established relationships with the following vendors: Dell OEM, NUIX, Ringtail, Relativity, Brainspace, or other leading eDiscovery applications
