Family Ministry Intern

Mission Connection
Under the leadership of the Family Ministry Team, the Family Ministry Intern will assist in partnering with parents to reach kids and students with the gospel and build in them a love for Jesus that lasts a lifetime.
Character and Competencies
Fulfills the character and qualifications of a deacon as outlined in Scripture and Sojourn By-laws
Demonstrates commitment to collaborate with staff members, local elders, and other ministry leaders of Sojourn J-Town.
Administrative and organizational skills and gifts, a builder of strategies and systems, focused on details and capable of managing multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Able to receive direction and implement vision
Humble with a desire to continually improve the ministry of Sojourn J-Town and the passion to build a long-lasting church
Proficient in Google Workplace and scheduling software.
Active in personal growth and development in the midst of a growing ministry and church
Responsibilities
Help the Family Ministry Team in partnering with parents, recruiting and equipping volunteers, and discipling the kids and students at Sojourn J-Town.
Assist the Family Ministry Team in receiving ECAP Accreditation through working with the Child Safety Team, following our child protection program, and maintaining compliance with organization policies and procedures.
Oversee and coordinate childcare for all non-Sunday morning events including, but not limited to, Bible Studies, Member Meetings, and Grace Marriage.
Read assigned books and other assigned materials and write reviews/reflection papers as assigned.
