    We are seeking Network Engineers to provide the government with support for the Join Medical Operations Center (JMOC) Network Engineering Support. This position will support the JMOC architecture throughout its lifecycle through the provision of technical infrastructure engineering, systems engineering/integration and data operations. This engineer will work primarily with the government to provide in-depth knowledge of enterprise/cloud computing initiatives.

    REQUIREMENTS

    DAY TO DAY

    The candidate shall also assist in reviewing and updating JMOC system and network management concepts of operations. With this, the candidate shall lead the way in resolving and implementing local area network configuration issues and equipment connections, analysis, isolation, and coordination for any network issues that may arise.

    Additional duties include support for additional network engineering tasks and projects; development of architectural and technical briefs on the design, capabilities, and functional operation of networking. Technical recommendations and insight into evolving telemedicine community of interest and migration to cloud computing with mobile and remote applications.

    • Schedule and perform network maintenance, perform installation configuration and repairs, and support certification and accreditation activities.

    • Support all LAN- based applications, routers, firewalls, VOIP and Ethernet technology

    • Understanding of current network capabilities and being able to adjust as required. Being able to communicate with all devices on a network.

    • Provide analysis of technology changes and security alerts.

    • Support, monitor, test, and troubleshoot hardware and software problems pertaining to systems in the facility

    • Establishes networking environment by designing system configuration and directing system installation.

    • Maximizes performance by troubleshooting network problems and outages and scheduling upgrades.

    • Configures Local routers as well as implement analysis on remote routers.

    • Updates data servers and network equipment.

    • Performs network optimization.

    • Preforms other duties as assigned

    PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION.

    • BS or BA degree in a Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering or Mathematics. (Required) o
    • 3-5 years of networking experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
    • CCNA Certification (Required)
    • CCNP Certification (Preferred)
    • Able to manage security breaches, intrusions and or corrupt data traffic
    • Active Secret Clearance (Preferred)
    • Experience with VTC (Video Teleconference Codec) Network capabilities (highly preferred)
    • Familiarity with Department of Defense Security Technical Implementation Guidelines
    • Excellent interpersonal collaborative skills with excellent communication skills (oral and written).
    • Must have strong analytical skills and attention to detail
    • Ability to be organized, proactive, and detail-oriented in a fast-paced environment
    • Ability to work on site
