STARTING RATE FOR THIS ROLE | | IS $13.00 TO $15.00, DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE. | | | | Role and Responsibilities: | | | | - Perform manual warehouse duties as assigned or directed by | | Supervisor/Manager | | - Perform and follow (verbal/written) procedures and policies set by | | management | | - Load and unload company trucks, common carriers using properly | | required equipment | | - Load and Unload products according to company’s local and corporate | | procedures and requirements | | - Follow and maintain all safety policies & procedures at all times | | - Assist in the maintenance and janitorial | | - Serve on company’s in-plant or off-site emergency response team | | - Maintain & report all equipment if faulty; i.e. forklift, pumps, | | hoses, repackaging tools, regulators, fillers etc, to maintenance | | - Place hazardous materials or waste into appropriate containers | | - Oversee and facilitate all chemical spill clean ups | | - Perform periodic daily, weekly, monthly. Bi-annual & annual | | facility/equipment inspections. | | - Properly manage hazardous waste while inside container storage area | | or otherwise under company responsibility or control | | - Prepare for shipment and load hazardous waste destined for off-site | | recycling/disposal facilities; complete inspections and paperwork | | associated with shipping hazardous waste | | - Comply with all company policies, rules and guidelines | | - Turn valves to regulate flow of liquids. | | - Read and interpret gauges and batch instructions | | - Ensure conformance to specifications | | - Cleaning & maintaining work areas & machinery | | - Feed or place items onto equipment for processing | | - Preferred Skills Ability to operate an industrial powered lift truck | | or forklift according to company procedures and governmental | | regulations | | - Ability to use and maintain respiratory protection equipment | | - Ability to learn proper methods for handling hazardous materials and | | wastes, with training | | - The physical ability to lift and carry at least 50 - 100 lb. net | | bags, boxes or pallets for short distances | | - The physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs continuously for up to | | an hour. | | - The physical ability to stand and walk for long periods of time | | - The ability to work in extreme environment temperatures | | - Test negative on the company’s drug tests | | | | Problem Solving: | | | | Production and container inspections to ensure the quality of virgin | | products blended products, accuracy of weight/quantity of repackaged | | products, accuracy and promptness of filling orders, cleanliness of | | warehouse and product | | | | Education / Training: | | | | - High School Diploma preferred with the ability to speak English. | | - Bilingual is preferred. | | | | Physical Demands / Environmental Conditions: | | | | Exposure to fumes, dirt, noise and hazardous chemicals on a daily | | basis.
