A mid-sized manufacturer in West Tucson seeks an Accounting Clerk to assist the accounting staff. The manufacturer offers a benefit package that includes Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance as well as a 401k plan.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting staff.
- Type accurately, prepare and maintain accounting documents and records.
- Daily entry of data related to financial transactions in databases.
- Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies.
- Inform management and compile reports/summaries on activity areas.
- Assist with accounts payable by matching purchase orders/invoices/bills of lading paperwork, tracking payments, reviewing vendor statements.
- Maintain accounts receivable data by entering customer payments, research discrepancies, invoice/monitor “credit term” customers.
- Reconciliation responsibilities.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
- Financial software – QuickBooks Enterprise Desktop.
- Microsoft Excel experience
- Self-starter
- Ability to multi-task
- Concise presentations

- Copes well with time constraints
- Problem solving
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND LICENSING REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred, not required.
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in accounting/finance.
- Experience in working with accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Pay Range: $16.00 to $18.00 per hour
