Here at SPD Staffing, we are helping a fully renovated maternity hospital in the heart of Austin. It has been recognized for its cardiac program and 24/7 Emergency Department.
The right candidate will Utilizes quality improvement as basis to improve unit/departmental processes.
Job Responsibilities of the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT):
- Demonstrates clinical competency to practice within the unit Scope of Care.
- You will perform all critical care and diagnostic procedures utilized in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiopulmonary diseases on patients of all ages.
- Communicates effectively with staff, peers, supervisors, ancillary department, internal and external customers.
- Pursues professional growth and development.
- Contributes to the smooth operation of the unit.
- Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required
Qualifications and Education for the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT):
- Associates degree is respiratory therapy.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist certification through the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) and licensure through the Texas Board as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
- Required two years of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist. Preferred experience in an acute care or rehab setting and one year in a critical care setting.
- BLS healthcare provider.
- ACLS preferred.
- PALS preferred.
- NRP preferred.
- S.T.A.B.L.E. Preferred.
Compensation and Benefits for the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT):
- Salary: $24.63-$34.48, depends on experience.
- Sign on bonus up to $15k and $3500 relo may be available to a very qualified candidate.
- Matching 401(k) contributions ranging from 3-9%.
- PTO starting at 4 weeks per year.
