We are helping them find a right candidate who will provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization.
Your Job Responsibilities as the Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN):
- Assesses, plans, and evaluates patient care needs.
- Carries out physician orders.
- Administers prescribed medications, changes dressings, monitors vital signs.
- Provides post-anesthesia recovery care for the patient.
- Serves as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
- Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems.
- Instructs and educates patients and families.
- Assesses and coordinates patient' s discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
Job Qualifications of the Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN):- Current Texas State Licensure as a Registered Nurse (Compact license is accepted but TX State RN license required within 30 days of hire).
- BSN preferred. Will consider ADN candidate if candidate has several years of Med-Surg experience, must be enrolled for BSN within 6 months of hire and complete program within 36 months(3yrs). All ADN offers have to be approved by CNO.
- Current BLS and ACLS from American Heart Association.
- Must have 1 year of recent acute Medical-Surgical experience to be considered.
- 20 beds in unit.
Compensation and Benefits of the Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN):- Salary: $28.64-$42.95 (20+ years); depending on years of experience.
- Shift Differential: Nights $3.75 per hr-Weekend $4.30 per hr.
