Job Description

The Human Resources Assistant must be team oriented, proactive, and goal driven. This position is responsible for performing HR related administrative duties on a professional level and works closely with the HR Director in supporting the HR function at the corporate level. The is an entry level HR position

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Serves as point of contact for employees regarding HR related questions;
• Create and maintain personnel files in compliance with all state and federal requirements;
• Maintain I-9 files;
• Assist with reporting;
• Order supplies;
• Process and respond to verifications of employment
• Assist with onboarding new employees;
• Serve as back up for out of office;
• Assist with special projects;
• Provide administrative support for HR Director, Recruiter and HR Generalist;
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or GED (Bachelor’ Degree preferred);
• 2+ years of previous HR experience strongly preferred;
• Proficient in Microsoft Office;
• Willing and able to work overtime when required;
• Must be a team player;
• Attention to detail;
• Effective oral and written communication skills;
• Excellent interpersonal skills;
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and efficiently.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Working conditions are normal for an office environment;
• Physical requirements needed to perform the job duties are as follows:

o Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.;

o Crouching;

o Kneeling;

o Standing – moderate;

o Walking – moderate;

• · Equipment includes familiarity with office equipment and machines copier, printer, fax machine, computer.
