We are seeking a talented Hair Stylist to join our team at our South Congress location (6501 South Congress Avenue), providing customers with flawless haircuts/styles/colors and helping them to look their best! As a Hair Stylist, you will provide cuts and colors using basic and advanced techniques. You’ll discuss the best products and hairstyles for each individual client’s needs and preferences. Most importantly, you will make it your goal to ensure that every customer leaves our salon feeling great about their new cut and happy with the services you provided. We require working some Sundays/Saturdays, though the work week will always only consist of 4 days. You will have your own station at all times and the use of assistants when available. We encourage our stylists to also use social media to promote themselves and their work which allows us to do the same on our platforms.

Responsibilities

Evaluate customers’ face shape, hair features, and personal preferences to recommend appropriate haircuts and hairstyles.

Wash hair at shampoo stations with appropriate products

Apply hair treatment products

Execute flawless haircuts and trims

Apply highlights, ombre, balayage, and other hair coloring techniques

Provide customers with a wide range of hair styling options, from formal to casual

Qualifications

Successful completion of a cosmetology school is required

Proven experience as a stylist, hairdresser, or similar role is preferred

In-depth knowledge of hair cutting techniques and best practices

Skilled at hair coloring, straightening, and curling techniques

Familiar with a variety of treatment products

Up-to-date with trends in fashion and beauty

Desire to grow and commit to the team/salon
