We are currently seeking a Part-time Accountant working from home with a flexible work schedule up to 20 hours per week. Successful candidate will have excellent customer service and must be outcome-oriented. The ability to work with strong attention to detail is essential.

Responsibilities & Requirements

• Payroll management – process weekly payroll, enroll new hires, etc.
• Invoice customers – create/send invoices to customers
• Data entry – record key business metrics in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks
• Follow up on Accounts Receivable
• Notarize documents
• Pay bills
• Assist with monthly sales tax filing
• Assist with monthly P&L
• Attention to detail
• Exceptional customer service with internal and external customers
• Strong sense of urgency and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work up to 20 hours per week with a flexible work schedule while meeting deadlines

Qualifications

• Proven bookkeeping experience
• Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principals
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications, especially Excel and Word
• Experience with QuickBooks Online or equivalent (preferred)
• Experience with ADP Run payroll software (preferred)
• Licensed notary in Nebraska (preferred) or willingness to become a notary (required)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently
• B.S. Accounting (preferred) or high school diploma/associate degree and equivalent work experience (required)

Job Type: Part-time, permanent position

Schedule: Flexible day shift Monday-Friday

Salary: $20 - $25 per hour depending on skills and experience
