Lawn Care Technician – Lawn Doctor (Washingtonville, NY)
Lawn Doctor in Washingtonville is currently seeking a disciplined, reliable individual to join our team as a Lawn Care Technician. If you enjoy working outdoors, have a passion for lawn care, and are comfortable operating trucks and equipment, this position may be perfect for you.
This is a part-time position , 2 to 3 days per week. This role could be ideal for the retired person seeking an active position, or for someone looking to break into the lawn care industry. Whether you’re a beginner or have prior experience, we value commitment over temporary employment. An 8-hour training class and 40 hours of on-the-job training is required. This is a commitment, not a temporary job. We expect our technicians to work the full season and return the following spring.
Responsibilities:
Apply lawn care products in a timely and efficient manner.
Operate machinery and company vehicles to reach customer locations.
Ensure correct application of products, following all safety and quality guidelines.
Work independently after training, maintaining a consistent and disciplined approach.
Requirements:
Strong work ethic and reliable attendance.
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Ability to operate machinery and meet production goals.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Reliable transportation to and from work.
Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
Must pass a drug test and background check.
Able to work on your feet all day and in good health.
Able to drive a pickup truck and find addresses accurately.
Basic math skills
Compensation:
Starting pay: $20/hour, with potential raises after training.
Paid training: 8 hours of classroom training + 40 hours of on-the-job training.
Potential for advancement/full time
Raises each season
Schedule:
Seasonal position, starting now and concluding in early November, then resuming the following March.
Weekdays as agreed upon starting at 7:30am sharp.
