Job Description

As a daytime Dispatcher, you'll be responsible for securing adequate capacity for booked freight using company assets, as well as scheduling, dispatching, and resolving problems for drivers.

This position requires exceptional execution and follow through, effective time management skills and on-time service performance. You'll use your communication skills with internal and external customers to resolve issues with pick-up and delivery, check calls, and promote a professional workplace attitude. The ultimate goal of this position is for deliveries to be on time and in compliance with government regulations, company standards and customer expectations. The position will be responsible for Operational administrative tasks as assigned in addition to the Dispatcher duties. 

Our Dispatchers are educators and problem-solvers. They are at the center of an unpredictable, deadline-driven environment and can think on their feet in both a detailed and big-picture scale. If you enjoy uncovering those hard-to-find solutions (and back-up solutions) within large sets of data, then this is the job for you.

Qualifications

• Proactive self-starter; must be able to work independently.
• Positive attitude and professionalism.
• Ability to multi-task and adjust to current business needs daily.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Familiar with HOS / DOT / FMCSA Regulations 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must have moderate proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• At least 1 year of dispatching, call-center, or similar experience.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Work experience in place of formal education will be taken into consideration.
