    Job Description

    We are currently seeking an ADMINISTRATIVE/OPERATIONS ASSISTANT to provide general administrative support including scheduling, employment recruitment and light AR/AP for an immediate full-time position located in our Queens office (Queens/Nassau border close to Belmont Raceway). This is a full-time position, 5 days per week for a private security firm, as follows:

    RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

    • Assist employees with schedule related questions.
    • Prepare, adjust and monitor employee work schedules and make notifications.
    • Screen and set employment interviews for prospective employees.
    • Recruit new employees.
    • Validate employee change of status forms and new hire authorization forms.
    • Invoicing Clients – Quick Books
    • Assists with related special projects as required.
    • Responsibilities include: Answering phone, maintaining records, filing, data entry, internet research, preparing correspondence and a variety of work projects.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • High School Diploma or Associate’s degree
    • Knowledge of Quick Books.
    • Versatile computer skills a must, including knowledge of Microsoft Office with emphasis on Word and Excel.
    • Strong communication and organizational skills.
    • Excellent customer service and telephone etiquette.
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks.
    • Ability to focus on details and ensure appropriate follow-up occurs.
    • Ability to prioritize work utilizing appropriate sense of urgency.
    • Must be detail-oriented and deadline driven
    • Self-starter who is able to multi-task and work collaboratively and independently with minimal supervision.
    • Must be able to work flexible hours when necessary.
    • Be able to pass a background investigation
