    Pay: Negotiable DOE

    ** Basic Job Description** :

    • Must demonstrate good work ethics i.e., the ability to work safely and be to work each day on time
    • Read and interpret shop detailed drawings
    • Lay out work lines or fit up jigs for positioning material when required; checks, squares, and scribes all detail connections
    • Weld components in various positions (vertical, horizontal, or overhead)
    • Conserve resources whenever possible to ensure budgetary integrity
    • Move materials/products to various stations in the shop using overhead cranes
    • Clean and maintain your work area following 5S principles
    • Proper use of PPE; hearing and eye protection, steel toe shoes, and hard hat where required
    • Other duties may be assigned that may specifically impact business and/or organizational needs

    ** Experience and Skills** :

    • Health & Safety Awareness
    • High School Diploma/GED preferred
    • 2+ years of experience as an industrial fitter or welder
    • Current and valid certification is a plus
    • Responsive to occasional disruption, change, and schedule pressure
    • A keen eye for detail and a results-driven approach
    • Responsible and trustworthy with great attention
    • Must be flexible and able to work under your own initiative
    • Willing to work overtime hours when required

    ** Physical Requirements** :

    This role is located within a steel fabrication plant and is constantly on the manufacturing floor. This role will interact with machining, quality, painting, and crane operators. Lifting up to 50 lbs. may be required at times. The ability to work standing up for long periods of time is required. The ability to move and climb ladders is required. The ability to weld components in various positions (vertical, horizontal, or overhead) is required. All elements of a steel fabrication plant should be expected at various manufacturing levels.
