  • Responsibilities

    We are looking for a staff accountant and payroll specialist to join our growing team in our team at our Auburn Hills location. This position is full time and can be a hybrid position.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Reviews and approves payrolls.
    • Handles accounting for multiple companies (full-cycle accounting)
    • EOY for clients and several additional companies
    • Finalizes taxes for business clients.
    • Insurance audits (requested by insurance companies)
    • Prepare and distribute W-2’s.
    • Preps taxes for corps and sole props
    • Prepares and submits quarterly taxes for multiple companies (20 days per month)
      • 940/941 & SUW returns for State of MI

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Must have a minimum of 2 years of accounting, payroll and payroll tax experience.
    • Associate degree in accounting or related field preferred.
    • Experience with both desktop and online QuickBooks.
    • Ability to work against deadlines.
    • Good customer-facing skills and experience.
    • Experience with MS Office, Thompson Reuters suite, and ADP Run preferred.
    • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
