About the Role:
iCode Cambrian Park is looking for a passionate and energetic Instructor to inspire the next generation of innovators in San Jose, CA! In this role, you'll guide students through exciting coding, technology, and STEM concepts in a fun, hands-on learning environment. If you love working with kids and have a passion for technology, this is the perfect opportunity for you!
Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging, curriculum-based coding and STEM instruction to students of varying age groups
Facilitate hands-on projects involving programming, robotics, game design, and other technology topics
Manage classroom environment to ensure a safe, positive, and productive learning experience
Adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and skill levels
Provide constructive feedback and encouragement to students to build confidence and skills
Communicate student progress and updates to parents and school leadership
Assist in setting up and maintaining equipment, software, and classroom materials
Requirements:
Experience working with children or youth in an educational or mentorship setting
Basic knowledge of coding languages such as Scratch, Python, JavaScript, or similar platforms
Strong communication and classroom management skills
Enthusiastic, patient, and encouraging demeanor with young learners
Ability to work part-time, including afternoons, weekends, or school break programs
High school diploma required; coursework or degree in Education, Computer Science, or related field preferred
Must pass a background check prior to employment
