    RRD is seeking a dynamic individual to join their Audience Management team! 

     

    Position requires working independently in a fast-paced computing environment, responding to the needs of RRD clients for automated data processing, management and reporting.  Work includes building data and ETL solutions that support our customer’s business need: validation, standardization, error detection, removal of extraneous data, calculation, reconciliation, information append, data mining, relational repositories, reporting and historical storage. 

     

    Data may cross server platforms using tools commonly available in Windows and Cloud environments.  Primary connection protocol and automation tools include:  API, AWS, sftp, WatchFTP, WatchDirectory, Apache NIFI, Windows Task Manager.   Programming tools:  Python, SAS, Redpoint, Ignite, Syncsort, SQL, HTML, .Net, C#, JavaScript, batch files, VBA, Powershell. He/she should also have a strong aptitude towards learning new tools.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES

     

    • Execute data-driven marketing initiatives utilizing a campaign management tool, performing activities such as audience selection, trigger qualification, suppressions, segmentation and arbitration
    • Execute campaigns (manual or automated) on a daily/weekly/monthly/as-needed basis and generate output files to be delivered through various marketing channels (e.g. Direct Mail, Email, Telesales, etc.)
    • Work closely with RRD business analysts to understand customer requirements, client provided instructions and/or other sources
    • With guidance, design solutions for projects of small to medium scope and complexity. Including sizing the environment, system structure, connectivity to various servers and platforms, screens, files and reports
    • Responsible for coding, testing, implementing and maintaining repeatable-automated workflows
    • Comprehension of business rules, entity relationships, data dictionaries, standardization, identity keys, connectivity, constraints, unit testing and problem resolution
    • Work closely with data processors to incorporate logic related to file processing
    • Must be able to diagnose and problem solve with minimal guidance
    • Work closely with the print facilities to identify special QC business rules and production reports.
    • Participate in customer User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and make programming adjustments as necessary.
    • Be a contributing team member on projects and actively participate in post-customer implementation reviews.
    • Participate in customer meetings by phone or in person.
    • Prepare system and source documentation for all projects assigned.
    • Provide operational support by monitoring system throughput, quality control and verifying deliverables have been sent.

      

     

    Required Skills

    • Bachelor degree in Computer Science discipline related to functional role with 1 to 3 years of practical development/analyst work experience; OR demonstrated ability to meet the job requirements through a comparable number of years of applicable  work experience.
    • Basic experience of data automation and server connectivity (ie: sftp) is required.
    • Conceptual knowledge of SQL, query and entity relationships.
    • Must have basic knowledge of data processing principles.
    • Education/Experience in Windows, Linux, Java, HTML, SQL, C++ are beneficial.    
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, Access and Visio.
    • Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written. Must be able to modify communication style both formal and informal to match the appropriate level of the audience targeted.
