Maintain proper inventory levels throughout the production cycle of the organization's product. Pull or replenish inventory to satisfy organization needs. Ensure shipment and delivery time schedules are maintained. Investigate and correct inventory discrepancies. Work with inventory control specialists to perform periodic review of inventory stock, recording quantity, type, and value of materials on hand.
Check all components at inserters to verify the correct components are stocked and being used. Complete this check at the following times during shift.
Check component staging areas on the inserting floor during shift to ensure all open cartons contain the correct component (are not mixed), cartons have closed tops, and areas are neat and organized.
During the review step for job set-up at the inserter the Floor Coordinator will review all components that have been delivered to the inserter to ensure they are correct. This includes fanning through all unbanded inserts and loose OMEs/BREs in previously opened cartons.
Order components using InfoShare’s Pull Request, as called for based on job specifications. Compare and verify job numbers, copy numbers, and component stock codes.
