    Responsibilities as a TOOL & DIE MAKER:

    • Maintain, build, and upgrade dies, fixtures, and gauges
    • Studies specifications such as blueprints, sketches, models, or descriptions and visualizes product to determine materials required and machines to be used to fabricate parts
    • Demonstrates good short- and long-term decision making in these areas:
    1. Tooling troubleshooting
    2. Diagnosis of problem and courses of action
    3. Tool room repair and maintenance work
    4. Tool Room machining practices

  • Qualifications

    REQUIRED SKILLS:

    LANGUAGE SKILLS

    Ability to read, analyze and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.  Ability to create reports (spreadsheets and others).  Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, customers and/or public groups.

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

    Ability to apply and interpret mathematical concepts.

    REASONING ABILITY

    Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.  Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
