  • Responsibilities

    Plans and establishes production schedules. Monitors materials inventories and shortages, tracks and reports progress of production, and reviews factors which affect schedules. Review daily production output and make adjustments/updates to daily/weekly forecasted schedules. Move work around as needed while maintaining customer delivery dates. Provide daily reports/updates that are used by the production departments to run work and plan staffing, materials etc.

    RESPONSIBILITIES.

    • Review materials for most effective use.
    • Review work order sizes and combine orders for efficiency.
    • Mange the Production Meeting
    • Maintain a build schedule 0 – 2 weeks out for multiple accounts.
    • Ensure that preceding requirements needed to begin running. Coordinate with the appropriate departments to ensure jobs will be able to run.
    • Track and report commit to actual production numbers.
    • Prioritize work orders
    • Prioritize incoming material receipts.
    • Update work order dates and quantities as changes are received for 0 – 2 weeks out.
    • Create and maintain production reports.
    • Review and report on material readiness from 0 – 2 weeks out
    • Identify demand that doesn’t meet minimum build quantities
    • Reduce overtime and downtime.
    • Other tasks assigned by manager.
    • Verify that materials, staffing, and logistics are in place in time for scheduled production runs.
    • Coordinate with vendors and/or internal resources producing components to ensure that delivery will meet the scheduled run time for the customer project.

    Required Skills

     

     

    Required Experience

    HS diploma or equivalent with 5-6 years of relevant administrative/operational support in manufacturing operations or office environment directly related to the duties of the job, OR demonstrated ability to meet the job requirements through a comparable number of years of work experience. May possess additional education certification in this level. 

    Requires excellent knowledge of functional area(s) related to the job or good knowledge related to a professional field of work. Ability to follow company policy and understand any rules or regulations governing the work being completed and impact work has on department or company. This facility is ISO9001 and ISO13485 certified. May provide oversight of work conducted by junior level staff and/or review/audit work for accuracy.

    Preferred skill set or experience:

    • Previous manufacturing job experience is required.  
    • Computer skills to include MS Excel
    • JD Edwards or other ERP system
    • Very good oral and written communication skills

    Very good organizational skills
