  • Responsibilities

    STG International is currently seeking a full-time Federal Retirement Benefits Specialist positions supporting the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts (AOUSC) in Washington, DC.  

    Responsibilities: 

    • Provide expert retirement counseling services to employees. 
    • Provide advice and assistance on questions regarding service computation dates and eligibility of certain periods of Federal service where retirement coverage is or might be questionable. 
    • Provide retirement estimates (CSRS Offset and FERS), and explaining Thrift Savings Plan (TSP) options, Federal employees' Health Benefits (FEHB) coverage, Federal Employees Group Life Insurance (FEGLI) coverage, Social Security (SS) coverage, and deposits and redeposits to the retirement as these issues relate to the retirement program. 
    • Ability to provide expert assistance to employees in the preparation and submission of retirement applications and all related forms and requirements. 
    • Ensure that the application package is complete and accurate before it is submitted to the Retirement Operations Center for preparation and submission to the Office Personnel Management (OPM). 
    • Process retirement paperwork that will be forwarded to USDA and OPM.

    The candidate must possess knowledge of:  

    • GRB or FRB 
    • Computing Service Computation Dates (SCDs) 
    • TSP, FEGLI, FEHB, and Military Deposits

    Required Experience

    Required Experience: 

    The candidate must possess: 

    • 7+ years of experience in Federal government retirement benefits. 
    • Experience in position classification, personnel staffing, employee benefits and assistance, employee relations, and personnel processing.
