    Axis Engineering is dedicated to designing and developing assembly solutions, metal forming and inspection fixtures.

    To help us drive excellence, as a Maintenance Technician you’ll get to:

    • Read and layout machine footprints from a CAD drawing to accurately install equipment.
    • Perform advanced mechanical installs and repairs during machine build.
    • Operate standard welding units: mig, tig and oxy/acetylene torch.
    • Install fencing and other guarding to the designed specifications and company safety standards.
    • Run custom pipes on machines, and measures, cuts, threads, and installs new pipe, including black pipe and copper lines.
    • Start machines and equipment to test operation following machine build.
    • Perform all duties and operates machinery & equipment according to MIOSHA standards and company procedures using required safety equipment (gloves, sleeves, ear plugs, etc.).
    • Modify computer controlled motion of robot.
    • Assist Engineer to modify sketches or computer generated designs of machine components such as pneumatic system and machine floor layouts.
    • Travel to local and outlying locations up to 50%.
    • Participate in continuous improvement activities.

    This full-time role is a part of our Maintenance Department and reports to the Operations Manager


    Required Skills & Abilities:

    • Ability to troubleshoot equipment/machinery
    • Ability to read blue prints
    • High level of cooperation.
    • High level of commitment.
    • Natural problem solver.
    • Ability and willingness to learn.

    Education and/or Experience:

    • Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or one – two years related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Journeyman Certificate preferred.

  • Qualifications
    • Possess a high school diploma or GED certificate.

    • Be a graduate from a medical assistant training program accredited by Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP), OR the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) of the American Medical Technologists, OR a formal medical services training program of the United States Armed Forces.

    • Current certification as a medical assistant by the American Association of Medical Assistants Assistants OR registration by the American Medical Technologists

    • Possess a minimum of 12 months full‑time experience within the last 36 months as a CMA
