  • Responsibilities

    STG International, Inc. is seeking a full-time Personnel Security Specialist to work Full time supporting the Administrative Office of the United States Courts in Washington, DC.

    • The contractor shall develop, document, and implement procedures for major aspects of the personnel security program, such as position designation and sensitivity levels, issues and adjudication guidance, initial investigation or re-investigation requirements. 
    • Process fingerprints, complete investigation forms, records, and adjudication process.
    • Review investigation forms and results and prepare recommendations for adjudication and/or recommend course of action for negative suitability results.
    • Process background investigations and background checks (fingerprints) annually.
    • Develop, administration, operations, and/or analytical duties to determine employment suitability of employees, contractors, and applicants.
    • Ensure all functions are completed accurately, correctly, in a timely fashion, and perform duties related to personnel security.
    • Develop and maintain plans, outlining steps and timetables for developing projects, programs, and deliverables.
    • Performs and providing advice for complex tasks and projects.
    • Create and/or review work products for completeness, quality, and adherence to agency requiremen
    • Provide analytical, research and related administrative functions, such as gathering and compiling data, identifying trends, and drafting reports, associated with the oversight of the benefit programs available to the judges and employees of the federal judiciary.
    • Provide analytical, research and related administrative functions, such as gathering and compiling data, identifying trends, and preparing management reports for COTR approval.
    • Coordinating inquiries from OHR clients regarding the execution of documented HR procedures policies and draft responses for review, approval, and dissemination by judiciary staff.

    Required Skills

    The contractor shall possess the following skills: 

    • The knowledge of personnel security, human resources, financial, administrative and/or project responsibilities.
    • The personnel security specialist must possess written and verbal communications skills to function professionally in a high-level executive environment.
    • The knowledge of administering a federal personnel security program to include complying with federal law, regulations, procedures, practices, or policies related to personnel security, suitability, and background investigations; working with investigation forms, investigative organizations, and individuals being investigated; reviewing and adjudicating investigation results and making recommendations regarding the suitability of individuals for federal employment; working with managers, employees, and human resources specialists to resolve a wide variety of suitability issues.
    • The ability of communicating effectively, both orally and in writing.
    • Demonstrate attention to details, and good organizational skills are required.

    Required Experience

    The contractor must possess the following experience:

    • Experience processing pre-employment security background checks and/or investigation paperwork.
    • A total of eight(8) year's experience is required. Five(5) year's must be specialized experience.
