Hiring an Estimator needed for a highly reputable company based in Fitchburg, MA.. Estimating in the commercial side of construction.

Responsibilities:

• Independent estimating as well as an active leader to plan and create thorough project estimates
• Attend pre-bid meetings to obtain project specifications
• Assign bid responsibilities to team
• Contact suppliers and vendors for material pricing
• Develop project schedules
• Review bids with project teams and estimating manager
• Lead the bid team with estimate closeout process
• Visit jobsites to develop and maintain project familiarity

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in engineering or related field, or equivalent combination of education and professional experience
• 2-5 years of experience in construction and cost estimating
• Experience estimating across all sectors of construction
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Able to multi-task in a very busy, high pressure situation to meet deadlines
• Experience with Microsoft Office, PlanSwift, ISqFT, Sage/Timberline or similar programs
