DISABILITY AND TESTING COORDINATOR
- Demonstrates and abides by the Company Core Values, company operating principles, Career Success Standards.
- Oversee the accommodation review process by reviewing Job corps application files for possible health, mental health, physical, drug and alcohol, or educational accommodation
- Convene Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) to identify accommodations needed. Provide application materials to IDT members for review and ensure the review process is thorough and appropriate
- Make determination if accommodation is reasonable or not for facility to provide
- Adjust accommodations when needed. Reconvene the IDT periodically to develop more effective accommodations for individuals students, as necessary
- Review and audit all assigned areas regularly for contractual compliance and effectiveness of delivery of services to students. Prepare related reports
- Develop linkages with off-center agencies to ensure accommodation/transitional needs are met
- Develop accommodation plans for students in coordination with appropriate staff. Review accommodation plans at student's evaluation eery 60 days, at minimum
- Promote the development of Career Success Standards by modeling appropriate behaviors, mentoring students where necessary and monitoring both positive and negative behavior through interventions.
- Maintain accountability of students and property; adhere to safety practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree and one year of related experience
- Directly related experience may be substituted for education requirements
- Experience developing individual accommodation plans for clients with mental health, physical and learning disability and experience developing linkages with disability and mental health agencies
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
EVENING STUDIES COORDINATOR
- Demonstrates and abides by the Company Core Values, company operating principles
- Build rapport and relationships with students to encourage and motivate students
- Develop appropriate lesson plans and goal setting
- Conduct one-on-one or small group tutoring session
- Assist with homework and projects, and review work with the student to ensure advanced comprehension of school materials and prepare the student for any upcoming teaching content, tests, or quizzes
- Track and analyze student progress, complete progress reports, and communicate with Tutoring Coordinator about student progress
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Familiarity with American middle and high school curricula
- Passionate about education and cultural diversity
WBL COORDINATOR
- Demonstrates and abides by the Company Core Values and the operating principles.
- Reports to the Workforce Development Director daily activities by maintaining a log supporting all activities.
- Responsible for awareness and familiarity with the National and Regional Job Corps Office goals, business plans, projects and initiatives ensuring principles and objectives are incorporated into the Center’s programming.
- Implements a local outreach program to ensure a sufficient number of employer partner sites.
- Works with center Business Community Liaison to identify and develop innovative work-based learning opportunities for trainees with local employers.
- Conducts interviews with student applicants for WBL opportunities.
- Schedules interviews for all WBL applicants with Employer Partners to ensure a suitable fit.
- Ensures and maintains the highest level of Data Integrity in collection of all required documents for students assigned to a WBL opportunity.
- Maintains WBL student folders ensuring accurate data on forms and time sheets are current.
- Reviews and assesses all application materials and personal observations to make an informed judgment about applicant’s suitability for the WBL program.
- Presents all suitable application folders to Workforce Development Director for suitability decision.
- Adheres to all deadlines established by the Workforce Development Director.
- Generates work site opportunities that best match the training capabilities and needs of trainees with employers’ requirement.
- Serves as liaison with the Career Development Departments in monitoring the coordination of center career technical training and work site learning.
- Schedules and transports if needed trainees to work sites.
- Schedules weekly visits to all work sites to monitor trainee progress.
- Counsels trainees on their evaluations.
- Submits all required reports promptly when due.
Qualifications
MINIMUM: Bachelor’s degree or 4 years professional experience working with youth. Two year’s experience in marketing, sales, or counseling related areas.
PREFERRED: Supervisory experience
KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED: Good understanding of the local community and employer base. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with strong proficiency in Excel. Must possess a valid state driver’s license. Ability to effectively relate to trainees and staff at all levels. Must possess a valid State driver’s license. Ability to read, interpret and analyze labor trend studies. Excellent organizational skills. Must possess and maintain a valid CPR/FA certificate.
