    ROLE OVERVIEW

    STRATIS IoT is actively seeking passionate developers to join its family of full-stack software engineers who are creating & molding the next generation of smart building technology. Our diverse team is made-up of adventurous, multifaceted individuals who bring what they've learned through various walks of life to improve our products.

    You should have at least two-years of experience in the field, addressing real-world challenges. You will utilize your experience to contribute to the development of new features and integration of new devices in our ever-growing IoT platform.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Love what you do & be an integral part of our family that is forging a new path in IoT technology;
    • Develop cross-platform software products for use on web, tablet, and mobile;
    • Own small-to-medium sized features from technical design through completion;
    • Implement seamless user experiences to control home hardware like locks, thermostats, lights & leak detection;
    • Innovate constantly on existing and cutting-edge technology to build new solutions;
    • Support & mentor team members in architecture, implementation, and launch of new features;
    • Foster a "shipping" culture by collaborating with team members, understanding deadlines and expectations, and identifying roadblocks early;
    • Understand and utilize our production deployment systems;
    • Prioritize tasks well and synchronize with team, project management, and product owner.

    Qualifications

    • 2+ years software development experience with demonstrated feature contributions;
    • Excited to work in a growing company that always has a full project roadmap;
    • Proficient with a backend programming language such as Python & Go;
    • Experience with JavaScript and at least one modern framework/library (e.g., React, Redux);
    • Writes clean, correct code incorporating feedback from code reviews; consistently follows stated best practices and helps others do the same;
    • Able to own small-to-medium sized features from technical design through completion;
    • Quick to learn new, complex systems and technologies;
    • Excited to impact real people every day through your work.

    INTERVIEW PROCESS

    PHASE 1: A member of our team will contact you to arrange a call to discuss your professional accomplishments & ambitions. You may be asked to participate in a technical phone interview as well.

    PHASE 2: You will be invited to interview with the team in person. This interview will include a technical review by multiple members of our various teams. Throughout this phase of the interview process, you will get the chance to interact with our team in a casual, free-flowing environment.
