    Human Resources Manager

    STRIDE COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTER is actively seeking a fulltime HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGER at our Headquarters located at 2255 S. Oneida, Denver. The HR Manager is a highly visible role that reports to the Human Resource Director, has multiple direct reports, and provides overall HR guidance in policy, procedures, and compliance that is consistent with STRIDE’s mission and vision.

    ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

    HUMAN RESOURCES:

    • Mentor and develop HR staff through daily direction of human resource administration and activities
    • Ensure employment and compliance to regulatory concerns regarding company’s workforce.
    • Support the HR Director and department staff in Benefits administration, Leave, Workers Compensation.
    • Oversee consistency in HR practice (e.g. processes, procedures, protocols and policies) and provide guidance to HR staff and other department supervisors and managers
    • Assist with disciplinary/grievance and HR issues, using HR and company policy.
    • Conduct employee investigations independently and in partnership with the Director of HR.
    • Oversee and manage employee separations and coordinate applicable employee exit activities.
    • Assist recruiters in addressing questions or issues regarding benefits, job functions, backgrounds.
    • Assist recruiters in coordination of career and or job fairs.
    • Assure that HR transactions are processed in a timely and accurate manner with attention to data integrity.
    • Assist in planning and scheduling a variety of meetings and employee events.
    • Oversee coordination of the employee onboarding program with other HR team members.
    • Develop a variety of written materials for the purpose of documenting consistent and effective standards of practice, process, and procedures.
    • Interprets a variety of written materials (e.g. transcripts, references, employment records, employment regulations, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Monitor record-keeping activities and compliance. Ensure employee files and related documents maintain compliance and any employee changes in position, salary, status, etc. are handled proactively and timely.

    MANAGEMENT:

    • Motivate and coach HR department to provide attentive, efficient patient care and customer service, assessing employee performance and providing helpful feedback and training opportunities.
    • Empower employees to take responsibility for their jobs and goals.
    • Delegate responsibility and expect accountability and regular feedback.
    • Provide oversight and direction to the employees in the operating unit in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures.
    • Responsible for hiring, disciplinary action and terminations with the support Recruiting and/or Human Resources.
    • Ensures staff members follow company policies and procedures.
    • Other duties to ensure the overall health and success of the business.
    • Communicates job expectations; plans, monitors, and coaches, counsels, and disciplines employees.
    • Maintains quality service by enforcing quality and customer service standards; analyzing and resolving quality and customer service problems.
    • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

    EDUCATION OR FORMAL TRAINING:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources or related field.
    • PHR Certification preferred.

    EXPERIENCE:

    • 5+ years of solid and progressive Human Resource experience
    • Managing Insurance benefits, FMLA and other Leaves of Absence, Workers’ Comp, ADA accommodation, employee grievance investigations.
    • Proven success in coaching and guiding staff and department managers in HR-related issues in a consistent, ethical and equitable manner

    • Customer service skills, including the ability to diffuse upset employees.
    • Moderate math skills required in order to create and analyze metrics.
    • Skill in using a variety of computer software including but not limited to the internet and MS Office Products.

    MATERIAL AND EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED: Printer, multi-line telephone systems, fax machine, copy machine, calculator, mobile telephone, electronic medical records, secure messaging.

    WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES: Office environment within a clinical setting. Enters data into computer programs via computer, mouse and keyboard. Moves about the office environment and occasionally to other locations. Moves/transports objects up to 25 lbs occasionally. Communicates information to others.
