As we continue to grow our education technology sales team, STS EDUCATION is seeking a talented and ambitious sales professional who is excited to advance their sales career as a Strategic Sales Representative (SSR). We are seeking a senior level sales professional who has proven results within the K-12 education vertical in Texas. In this position, you will be the lead sales representative in the territory and responsible for annual GP goal attainment through opportunity pursuit, solution selling, and account management. The SSR will collaborate with the Sales Development Representative (SDR) to prospect new and existing customers to identify opportunities for a variety of technology products and services including HP, Promethean, and other strategic partners.
The ideal candidate is an energetic self-starter with the ability to build rapport and establish strong long-term relationships with key district stakeholders to drive the entire STS solution portfolio.
Responsibilities
Develop strong professional relationships with key district stakeholders in order to promote and sell the entire STS portfolio
Network with key influencers and organizations within the defined territory (Texas and Oklahoma)
Develop proficiency in all STS categories in order to properly develop and quote solutions for qualified opportunities
Understand all market dynamics that will impact selling in the defined territory - competition, procurement contracts, vendor relationships, etc.
Conduct strategic business reviews with key customers to identify and expand the cross selling opportunities
Collaborate with the territory sales and marketing team to develop local sales strategy and identify key contacts and opportunities
Utilize the strategic solution overlay (SSO) resources when applicable to develop and quote specialized solutions
Update and manage all sales activities, opportunities, and account information in Salesforce
Consistently achieve monthly quota of qualified opportunities
Qualifications
At least 5 years of relevant sales experience within the K12 education vertical
Strong sales performance to quota in the Texas market
Proficient in the technical skills and daily expectations of Salesforce.com
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to multitask, organize, and prioritize work
Preferred: Experience selling k-12 educational technology products and services
The SSR position is open to other locations within Texas, not just Dallas
