    SUMMARY

    As a senior leader, the VP of IT will lead the development, implementation and support of strategic system platforms within IDEMIA’s IT department. This role is critical in integrating multiple IT systems that service the business units within North America. The VP of IT will set objectives and strategies for the North America IT department in line with the global IT group and regional stakeholders. This position requires a combination of strong business process knowledge, IT technical knowledge and the ability to communicate across all levels of the organization. Experience within transformational IT, especially within merging or acquired companies, is critical in order to be successful in this role.

       

    JOB DUTIES

    • Identifies opportunities for integration with existing Group systems to standardize tools/process/platforms and benefit from economies of scale, while keeping in mind that as a Federal Government-facing business there are issues and concerns relating to the integration of systems and data management that have to be carefully considered.

    • Optimize current resources by aligning disparate teams and skillsets across the IT department.

    • Leading the information systems staff by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.

    • Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; developing personal growth opportunities.

    • Maintains safe and healthy working environment by establishing and enforcing organization standards; adhering to legal regulations.

    • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, benchmarking state-of-the-art practices, and participating in professional societies.

    • Aligned with and providing strategy, consultation and service to other Business Units across North America.

     

    SHARED SERVICES

    • Implements a shared services organization in partnership with Group IT, the region and Business Lines.

    • Evaluates opportunities to reduce costs relating to resources by seeking low-cost US centers, offshoring where appropriate and partnering with third parties where feasible.

     

    SYSTEMS DEVELOPMENT & DEPLOYMENT

    • Consolidates and simplifies IT North America systems and solutions landscape.
    • Works on convergence to Group systems unless identified and validated regional/specific business constraints.
    • Assesses information systems results by auditing the systems usage.

     

    PRODUCTION

    • Monitor IT operations through professional process and KPIs.
    • Safeguards assets by planning and implementing disaster recovery and back-up procedures.
    • Control information security and deploy actions plan when needed.

     

    BUDGET & REPORTING

    • Accomplishes financial objectives by determining service level required, preparing an annual budget for North America, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
    • Approve purchases of technological equipment and software and establish partnerships with IT providers.

    Required Experience

    • Ideally would have experience with an international company.
    • 10 years of experience leading the successful operation of IT systems and infrastructure.
    • Experience leading teams of at least 50 IT professionals.
    • Information systems manager skills and qualifications, including: Quality Management, Management Proficiency, Manufacturing Quality, Manufacturing Methods and Procedures, Production Planning, Developing Budgets, Network Security, Promoting Process Improvement, Network Maintenance, Operating Systems, Problem Solving.
    • Excellent organizational and leadership skills. Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
    • Location based in Reston VA, or Billerica, MA.
    • Must be a US citizen. (no dual citizenship)
