    Position Summary:

    Responsible for executing the Asset Condition Monitoring Program at the assigned OGE Power Supply facilities. The responsibility includes, but is not limited to, performing Asset Condition Monitoring activities, including Vibration Data Collection and Analysis and Diagnostics, Ultrasonic Data Collection and Analysis, Thermographic Inspections, Oil Sample Collection and Analysis of Results, Static and Dynamic Motor Circuit Evaluation and Analysis, Coal Fineness Testing and Varian Leak Detection. Based on the results of analysis and diagnostics, corrective action recommendations are to be made and baseline data captured and analyzed once corrective actions have been executed.

    Primary Duties:

    • Provides technical governance and guidance to Power Supply for Asset Condition Monitoring diagnosed problems and partner with other groups in Power Supply to define solutions for these problems.
    • Provide mentoring, guidance and training in the application of Asset Condition Monitoring technologies to Level I and II Technicians.
    • Perform Asset Condition data collection and analysis, inspections and diagnostics, as required.
    • Identify and/or review facility assets to be included in the Asset Condition Monitoring Program. Based on potential failure modes and asset criticality, recommend monitoring methods/technologies and intervals for each asset.
    • Prepare and review standard operating procedures and instructions for Power Supply's Asset Condition Monitoring Program which insure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Standards CFR 29 Part 1910, ASTM Standards for Nondestructive Testing and Best Industry Practices.
    • Assist in the development, calculation and monitoring of Key Performance Indicators for the Asset Condition Monitoring Program.
    • Plan, coordinate and schedule Asset Condition Monitoring work.
    • Create and monitor SAP notifications resulting from exceptions and prepare, review and distribute Asset Condition Monitoring exception reports.
    • Ensure monitoring and testing equipment is maintained and in current calibration.
    • Support Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) and the implementation of any corrective actions identified for the Asset Condition Monitoring group.
    • Research and recommend new Asset Condition Monitoring technologies based on their benefits to Power Supply.
    • Manage and/or coordinate Asset Condition Monitoring related projects.
    • Monitor, report, and manage Reliability metrics to ensure Reliability documentation, data, reports, and analysis are complete, accessible, and archived appropriately.
    • Develop and present technical presentations for various audience levels (staff, management, and external groups).

    Requirements:

    • Associates Degree in Technical Field (e.g. Electrical/Electronics/ Mechanical/ or Power Technology) combined with Four (4) years directly related technical experience (e.g. Reliability or Mechanical Maintenance) combined with  an ISO 18436 Category II Certified Vibration Analyst Certification and an ASNT Level I Certification in Infrared Thermography or Ultrasonics or Level I Machine Lubricant Analyst (ISO 18436-4/ I) Certification; OR High School Diploma or Equivalent GED combined with Six (6) years military technical experience in MOS/ratings (e.g. EM/GSE or 91C/D or 3E0X1/2) combined with an ISO 18436 Category II Certified Vibration Analyst Certification and an ASNT Level I Certification in Infrared Thermography or Ultrasonics or Level I Machine Lubricant Analyst (ISO 18436-4/ I) Certification; OR High School Diploma or Equivalent GED combined with Six (6) years directly related technical experience (e.g. Reliability or Mechanical Maintenance) combine with an ISO 18436 Category III Certified Vibration Analyst Certification and an ASNT Level I Certification in Infrared Thermography or Ultrasonics or Level I Machine Lubricant Analyst (ISO 18436-4/ I) Certification.
    • Valid State Driver's License.

    Preferred Qualifications:  

    • ISO 18436 Category III Certified Vibration Analyst Certification
    • Experience with Bently Nevada and/or Emerson MHM Monitoring / Protection Systems
    • Adequate experience in a Power Generation or Process Plant Facility Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    • Demonstrated leadership in safety and supporting an IIF (Incident and Injury Free) culture.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of generation and/or process plant operating processes.
    • Strong oral and written communication skills in order to effectively communicate with all levels of internal and external customers including the ability to troubleshoot complex problems from remote locations and communicate solutions via phone and e-mail.
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently or as a team member and to provide guidance to less experienced company members, as needed.
    • Demonstrated ability to interact effectively and professionally with team members and leaders.
    • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret civil, mechanical and electrical drawings, process and instrumentation diagrams, flow diagrams, etc.
    • Demonstrated ability to analyze and organize data into information, make a series of alternatives, and develop a recommendation.
    • Demonstrated organizational, prioritization, and time management skills with ability to meet deadlines.
    • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve problems effectively.
    • Demonstrated ability to oversee, plan, coordinate, track, and complete projects effectively.
    • Demonstrated ability to apply Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and Safety Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP's).
    • Demonstrated ability to make decisions and exercise good judgment based on customer interaction and Company policy.
    • Demonstrated ability in the proper use of hand tools and electronic test instrumentation.
    • Knowledge of and demonstrated ability with Asset Condition Monitoring technologies (Vibration, Thermography, Ultrasound, Static and Dynamic Motor Testing, Oil Analysis, NDT, ODS, etc.)
    • Demonstrated ability to manipulate and effectively utilize Asset Condition Monitoring equipment (Vibration Analyzer, Thermography Camera, etc.)
    • Demonstrated strong computer skills with ability to use MS Office Suite, vendor Reliability Technologies software and SAP.

    Working Conditions:

    • Will require travel to all plant locations and to other locations throughout the company for work or training assignments.
    • Travel required to other locations for work or training may include overnight stays.
    • Required to work in both an office environment and field work sites with exposure to outside weather conditions.
    • May be required to work non-standard work schedules (i.e. outside typical Monday through Friday) to include overtime, weekends, holidays, and call-outs, as needed.
    • Required to work in small, enclosed areas, high places, dusty conditions.
