    Position Summary: The Senior Network Engineer will plan, organize, architect, build and manage network and telecommunications related operations to ensure the stable delivery of the organization''s IS services. This includes developing, maintaining, administering, supporting and optimizing key functional areas, particularly the network infrastructure and unified communications components. This position will schedule and direct activities to resolve hardware, software and user reported problems in a timely and accurate fashion. The Senior Network Engineer will also be responsible for tracking, detailing, and remediating network infrastructure-related issues through the Service Desk Ticket and Change Management processes. Qualifications and Education: Bachelor''s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent with 6 years of experience in a network administrative role is required. Knowledge of VoIP implementation and support. Maintain network security through proper configuration of VPN and Firewalls. Must hold a valid driver''s license with no restrictions and possess reliable transportation. Strong communication and documentation skills. Prior experience with conducting presentations, ITIL framework processes and project management. Preferred Skills and Experience: Cisco UC version 10+ (Call Manager, Unity Connect, IM and Presence and Collaboration) Cisco Voice Gateway H323/SIP/SCCP/SRST/MGCP, T1/PRI and POTS Cisco UCS and Cisco Nexus Switches Cisco DMVPN and IPSEC VPN Technologies Cisco Routers and Switches Cisco QoS for Enterprise Networks Palo Alto Firewalls Current CCNA Voice and/or CCNP Voice certification Essential Functions: Local and Wide Area Network and Network Security Support. Acts as subject matter expert on network security and firewall policy analysis, QA, and review. Experience with physical, virtualization and cloud. Lead the architecture, design, development and deployment of communication (voice/data/video) solutions; including integration testing. Implement fault-tolerance across all critical networked environments. Responsible for the operation and maintenance of BENCHMARK REHAB PARTNERS''s datacenter firewalls. Performs network and security hardware and software maintenance. Ensures standards are maintained for firewalls and other network edge device version updates and patches. Interfaces with vendors and BENCHMARK REHAB PARTNERS partners to ensure security is maintained and integrated into all network connectivity activities. Produces and interprets network security analysis reports. Teams with Information Security to implement and operate security policies and procedures. Develop configuration management capabilities and documentation practices. Provides, on an as-needed basis, 3rd level escalation for network outages and application troubleshooting. Consults with customers to identify data and network security requirements. Prepares and updates network security documentation. Designs and configures network security implementations. Assesses new and relevant networking and security technologies. Maintains security design requirements documentation with accurate SCDS information. Participates as a Subject Matter Expert in architectural and security design reviews. Makes recommendations on existing projects to improve network security. Communicates security plans, status and security issues to management on a regular basis. Reports security activities through time tracking system. Mentors other network engineers with security best practices. Participates in project and activity tracking processes. Participates in the change control process. Continuously updates and improves skills and networking knowledge through training and self-study. Results-oriented. Define processes and supervise all change management activities associated with the network infrastructure including communications, approvals, procedural documentation, and production acceptance. Supervise resolution of all production outages and required root cause analyses. Daily management and prioritization of project initiatives with production operational workloads. Routine reporting of operational and project status. Maintain a thorough understanding of the basics behind the internet and its workings i.e. DNS, Routing, NAT, web traffic, and email traffic. Configuring and installing client and server network software for upgrading and maintaining network and telecommunication systems. Maintaining multi-site network operations and software applications, operating systems and regular maintenance with both private and public facilities. Responding to inquiries from staff, administrators, service providers, site personnel and outside vendors and etc. to provide technical assistance and support. Supervising the administration of systems and servers related network to ensure high availability of services to authorized users. Troubleshooting malfunctions of network hardware and software applications, telephones and security systems to resolve operational issues and restore services. Periodic travel may be required. Periodic continuing education may be required. Perform other IT duties as assigned.
