Project Officer
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Civil Engineer will work closely with government officials and other company engineers and engineer tech’s on assigned projects. You will work with the engineer tech’s and craftsman to resolve structural, foundation, load bearing and other related problems. Will have to review plans, prints and drawings to ensure accuracy and operational effectiveness. Will be responsible for the data input into government programs such as BUILDER, TRIRIGA and other related programs. Will be responsible to write Statements of Work (SOW) for the government and the company to give guidance to potential subcontractors hired by the company to perform a specific task.
PRIMARY/MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):
Required Skills
· Valid state driver’s license.
· Must be able to obtain Flight line driving permit.
· ABET Accredited College/University 4 year degree
· Minimum of 3 years in assigned field.
· Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, specifications, and manufacturers’ installation and operation manuals.
· Ability to read, write, speak, and understand American English
· Knowledge of conformance to a variety of applicable commercial, local, state, and federal codes, rules, regulations, and standards.
· Ability to plan, conduct, and record site/facility surveys and inspections.
