    SR. ETL DEVELOPER -- REMOTE LOCATION

     As the 65 and older demographic grows to ~20% of the US population, the long-term opportunities within this $700 billion+ marketplace will continue to drive significant growth for SunFire. Our existing quoting and enrollment technologies enable brokers, insurance and tele-sales agents to sell the best Medicare Advantage, prescription drug and Medicare Supplement plans within a proprietary cloud-based platform. With an aggressive product roadmap, your contribution will further innovate and transform the engagement for all stakeholders within the Medicare industry.

     WHAT YOU’LL DO: 

    • Independently design and develop solutions to support reporting, analytic and warehouse needs using the appropriate platforms, tools and programming languages to integrate with assorted systems.
    • Using independent judgment, analyze business requirements and work with stakeholders to produce specifications used in creation of the reporting and analytical solutions from scratch.
    • Support existing warehouse, reporting and analytic solutions by providing production troubleshooting and regular processing needs as well as enhancements.
    • Ensure that newly designed systems perform as expected; performing validations and supporting production tickets.
    • Collaborate with a small team of ETL Developers performing unit testing of ETL processes and documenting test results, ETL server maintenance and support.
    • Turn functional and data mappings into reporting, analytic and warehousing solutions.
    • Conduct performance tuning on new and existing systems to ensure optimal efficiency.

     

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Five or more years of SQL and ETL development experience, with a minimum of 2-3 years with SSIS.
    • At least one year of database design experience.
    • Prior experience in a health insurance environment; Medicare is a plus.
    • Focus on business requirements and collaboration with engineers, UI designers and other stakeholders, crafting a variety of solutions from scratch.
    • Project lead experience required.
    • Ability to lead and coach other ETL developers. 
    • Experience converting relational data to other formats like JSON, XML, Flat files, etc., and vice versa. 
    • Experience in design, development, testing, implementation and troubleshooting ETL jobs or workflows. 
    • Experience in data warehousing and/or data analytics is a plus.
    • Experience with AWS infrastructure is a plus.
    • Ability and interest in working from home. 
    • A self-directed and curious thinker who is comfortable tackling problems on their own, but collaborates to create solutions as well.
    • Permanent Resident or US Citizen only, W2 (no C2C)
