    Job Description A high-tech RF fast-growing Company located in Ronkonkoma; NY that serves the military electronics markets has an opening for a Microwave Test Technician. Perform test and tune operations on Microwave assemblies including Microwave Synthesizers, Receivers, Converters, Amplifiers, Control Components, and custom-designed Integrated Microwave Assemblies prior to seal. Create a tuning strategy for assemblies based on test results. This strategy may include inspection, removal, and replacement of some components and/or manipulation of some connections or coils.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    Test and Tune operations.

    Review test plans and procedures to accurately assess microwave product performance.

    Perform Final Tests on sealed assemblies.

    Ensuring all tests and procedures meet company and industry standards.

    Writing up final test reports for presentation to customers and management.

    Provide status to manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams.

    Provide feedback on issues found at the test to the assembly teams.

    Troubleshooting of microwave assemblies by utilizing circuit diagrams as part of circuit analysis to resolve complex electronic circuit problems.

    Assist in Failure Analysis and Corrective Action and tracking to root cause.

    Performs other duties as required.

    SKILLS:

    Good troubleshooting skills with complex microwave assemblies

    An understanding of test plans and operating procedures

    Computer literate in Word, Excel, and Outlook

    Must be attentive to details.

    Strong interpersonal skills to work with team members and customers.

    Good communication skills, both oral and in written form

    KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

    A general understanding of RF theory, such as S-parameters, noise figure, gain, 1dB compression, harmonics, and intermodulation distortion measurement.

    Ability to measure and calculate insertion loss and VSWR of a microwave device.

    Ability to use high-frequency electronic instruments, such as oscillators, audio oscillators, standing wave amplifiers, multimeters, phase-sensitive demodulators, volt-ohm meters, logic and network analyzers, AF and RF signal generators, and wave meters.

    Minimum Requirement:

    CITIZENSHIP: US Citizenship required

    EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent CERTIFICATION: Certification to military standard IPC-610 EXPERIENCE: 3 years experience in the assembling of electronic sub-assemblies or related products
