Job Description A high-tech RF fast-growing Company located in Ronkonkoma, NY that serves the military electronics markets has an opening for an Electronic Quality Inspector. Perform tests and measurements on finished electronic products, components, assemblies, and sub-assemblies to make sure they are fully functioning, accurate, and assembled correctly and in accordance with specifications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Read blueprints, plans, and specifications to understand the requirements of products and services.
Perform regular quality assessments on all incoming materials from vendors and outgoing products for shipping.
Measure product dimensions, examine functionality, and compare the final product to the manufacturing specifications.
Verifies specified dimensions of product or material when required for customer complaints, engineering evaluation, and/or material review board requests
Reject all products and materials that fail to meet quality expectations.
Document inspection outcomes by completing detailed reports and performance records.
Generate inputs for non-conforming material reports based on inspection operations performed
SKILLS:
Must be able to use conventional inspection equipment, (micrometers, calipers etc.)
Must be able to create reports and summary of the inspection reports.
Must be computer literate in Word, Excel, and Outlook
Must be attentive to details
Have strong interpersonal skills to work with team members and customers
Possesses good communication skills, both oral and in written form
KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
Have a complete understanding of engineering drawings, standards, and manufacturing operation sheets for detailed parts, subassemblies, and final assemblies
Have the ability to use standard record-keeping documentation
Have an understanding of test plans and operating procedures
Must have the ability to understand customer quality control requirements as called out in purchase orders and contracts and use this ability to interface with customer source inspectors for customer final inspection.
Be familiar with J-STD-001 soldering and IPC-A-610 workmanship standards.
Be able to fulfill and adhere to quality standards, inspection processes, quality plans, documents, and reports.
Minimum Requirement: CITIZENSHIP: US Citizenship required EDUCATION: A high school diploma or equivalent EXPERIENCE: 5 years experience in mechanical and electronic assembly inspection
