Microbiology Lab Tech Job Description Job Responsibilities:

Perform and/or monitor the following types of testing: environmental monitoring, bacterial and fungal plate readings, sub-culturing using aseptic technique, pH, as well as other microbiological testing methods.

Provide for environmental monitoring of required areas; trend analysis of data and report variances with recommended solutions

Organize and maintain orderly flow of required testing, including notification of progress to clients in a timely manner.

Track, record and trend out-of-specifications.

Monitor and maintain laboratory equipment.

Understanding of the requirements of the laboratory with regards to product testing, documentation, GLPs and cGMPs.

Job Requirements:

BS/BA or MS in Life Sciences, Microbiology or Biology; advanced study in Microbiology is highly desirable.

2-3 years of biological or microbiological laboratory experience in an environmental laboratory or pharmaceutical environment.

Excellent bench skills in microbiological methodologies.

Basic understanding of cGMPs.

Requires strong problem solving, communication and time management skills

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
